Meet Your Teachers

 

It is great to have you in class, in an ensemble, musical, or just to have you pass by my page.  Here is a little bit about me:  I graduated from Bradford Area High School in 2002 and then attended Mansfield University, earning a Bachelor of Education in Music Education with elective studies in jazz in 2006.  Throughout high school and college, I was in the marching band, chorus, musicals, wind ensemble, orchestra; basically any musical ensemble I could be in.  I love to play and sing!

 

I attained a Master of Arts in Music Education from Mansfield University in 2015.  Professionally, I have taught in three school districts; Punxsutawney, Cameron County, and St. Marys and  this is my 15th year teaching and have seen students in K-6 and 9-12.  I am currently the St. Marys Area High School Choral Director and teach guitar, piano, and music electives.  I thoroughly enjoy the great amount of fun we have in the music department and I wish that all students could have the opportunity to take a music class.

 

I am a firm believer in creating opportunities for students that they can enjoy.  Each year, I strive to come up with fun, new ideas for the music department.  I enjoy playing soccer, tennis, mountain biking, and running.  I live in St. Marys with my wonderful wife, Michelle, and three children, Ela, Alison, and Jamie.
