Welcome!

As a teacher here at St. Marys Area H.S. since 2002, I have gotten to meet a large number of students and parents and I am excited to add you to the list.  I graduated from Penn State, University Park in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education.  I have level II  certifications from the state of Pennsylvania in both Communications and English.  I also have a Masters Degree in Education from Gannon University. 

 

All of that has helped me prepare to teach a plethora of courses here at SMAHS.  I have taught English in 9th through 12th grade, media, speech and mythology.  While I am never quite sure what I might teach each year, I have yet to be disappointed in the students that walk through my door.  Each class I teach offers an interesting mix of content and opportunities, and I certainly enjoy them all. 

 

Don't be surprised if you see me outside of school going for a jog (calling it running would be a stretch), walking my dog, or once the snow flies -snowshoeing in the local parks.  I do enjoy a good dose of fresh-air each day.  I hope to see you out and about as well.
