meet the teacher

I am Mr. Schneider and I am the Metal Working Occupations Instructor at Saint Marys Area High School. I graduated from ECC in 1994 and then attended Pennsylvania College of Technology to pursue further education in machining. Upon graduation I was employed at Windfall Powdered Metal. I am a UAW Journeyman Tool and Diemaker, and also A Journeyman CNC machinist certified by the State of Pennsylvania. I was able to enroll in PSU workforce education program to allow me to become a certified CTE teacher, which allows me to bring real world experience into the classroom on a daily basis.

Metal Working Occupations is separated into MWO 1 and MWO 2. Upon successful completion of the MWO curriculum students will receive certifications from The National Institute of Metal Working Skills (NIMS) in turning, milling, surface grinding and also safety.
